CHOMPER WIKI

Dashboards

A Chomper dashboard is a grid of live panels — charts, tables, gauges, and maps — built from queries against your own event data in ClickHouse. Dashboards update in real time, every save is kept as a numbered version you can roll back to, and any dashboard can be restricted to specific people when a report shouldn't be visible to the whole team.

This section covers dashboards as a system: what a dashboard is made of, how changes to it are tracked over time, and who can see or edit what. See Panel types for a walkthrough of each individual panel type — Time series, Pie, Gauge, Geo heatmap, Table — with real, worked example queries you can adapt directly to your own events.

In this section

  • Dashboards overview — the dashboard catalog, the panel grid, adding and editing panels, and the time range picker.
  • Panel types — every SQL panel type — Time series, Pie, Gauge, Geo heatmap, Table — with real, worked example queries.
  • Versions & history — how every save is kept as a version, and how to roll back to an earlier one.
  • Access & permissions — roles, and restricting a dashboard so only specific people can see it.
